h1. About me

At a young age, I was inspired to write a journal by an uncle who had kept journals for most of his life. After several years passed and I looked back on what I had written, I realized the ink and paper had preserved my memories in detail that my weathered mind could not. The experience of keeping a journal instilled in me a love for capturing moments, thoughts and feelings that may one day be forgotten. My journal was my faithful companion from middle school through college.

Recently, however, I have no written record. A second thing that I learned from my uncle is that when you find the right person, a journal no longer serves the same purpose. I have found my other half in life, and it is true that I no longer need the journal in the same way I used to.

My record keeping is now in the form of photographs. I photograph life in its biggest and smallest moments. From projects, to travels, to dinners, and friends, my camera is now the instrument that records my memories. As an artist and a photographer, I strive to bring a unique vision to my photographs and to use the medium with an artful eye and not just as a recording device.
